The British Academy-funded project ‘Posthumanities: Redefining the Humanities for the Fourth Industrial Age’ welcomes applications from UK-based Early Career Researchers to participate in its forthcoming workshops in Spring 2019.
The project will facilitate three workshops – focusing on Animal Welfare, Bioethics and Artificial Intelligence – in which scholars from the posthumanities will come together with researchers, scientists and policy-makers to consider the ways in which posthumanist scholarship can inform policy-making in these areas.
ECR participants will be asked to lead a workshop session and contribute to the project website. They may have the opportunity to contribute to publications emerging from the project.
The workshops will be held at Royal Holloway’s central London Campus, on the following dates:
- Animal Welfare: Friday 1st March
- Bioethics: Thursday 28th March
- A.I.: Friday 29th March
ECR places will cover travel and accommodation expenses.
To apply for a place, please download the below form and return to Zosia.Edwards.firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday 20th January 2019.
