How can posthumanism help us to respond to the ethical challenges generated by advances in science and technology?
For the launch of British-Academy funded project ‘Posthumanities: Redefining Humanities for the Fourth Industrial Age’ world-renowned posthumanist scholar Professor Rosi Braidotti will discuss the relevance of the posthumanities beyond the humanities, particularly to questions raised by artificial intelligence, bioethics and animal science.
Rosi Braidotti is Distinguished University Professor at Utrecht University. She has published widely in continental philosophy, across cultural politics, gender, and social and political theory. She is a leading, interdisciplinary thinker within the posthumanities. Her latest publication, The Posthuman Glossary (Bloomsbury, 2018), will be available to purchase at the event.
